The Entrepeneurs Prayer…

November 28, 2009

As I awaken with the gift of yet another day and prepare for the tasks at hand, I offer up this most ardent prayer:

I pray for continued clarity of purpose so that I may hold my vision steady and keep my focus on the needs and success of others, which in turn shall bring me my success.

I pray for the wisdom to expect abundance in my life, that it surrounds me and is available for the taking and to be shameless and unapologetic upon its receipt, for I deserve abundance.

I pray for a cheerful countenance, be it clear or cloudy skies and that I may radiate and infect others with my positive attitude.

I pray for the trust of others that they may recognize my sincerity and true intentions so that we may move forward together.

I pray for the strength to fend off adversity and use my desire and determination as both weapon and shield.

I pray for the courage to carry forth my convictions during the battle of business and to resist temptation to a quicker monetary result when such temptation compromises these things for which I stand.

I pray that I may be used as a lightning rod to collect the amazing ideas already present in the universe and when blessed with such inspiration, that I may be able to apply my talents and abilities to turn the power of thought into measurable advancement of my goals.

I pray to retain my childhood wonder so that I can recognize and revel in the small miracles of each day that others may miss.

I pray for an infinite supply of self-confidence for it alone fortifies faith, strengthens my resolve and conquers the largest enemy I will ever face – fear.

I pray for a compassionate spirit and the patience to offer those who seek my advice and my help, my full and undivided attention.

I pray for good health and a feeling of well being, and the continued desire to improve those areas of my physical life I may be neglecting in the name of my spiritual and entrepreneurial advancement.

I pray that today is a day of excellence and at its conclusion I can acknowledge and be grateful for the forward motion I have made and the growth I have experienced.

I pray most of all for the understanding and support of those closest to my heart, my family, that they will equate what may seem like endless hours of apparent pre-occupation with affairs of business to what is at the very core of my being, that which drives me, for once I achieve what I have set out in its fullest, I will become that more complete being I strive to be.

It is for these things that I pray, for I am an entrepreneur.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!

November 4, 2009

To help me do the things I want to do.
My whole life wouldn’t be only for you,
Nor would my love determine who you’d be.

I want you to respect what I do well,
To share the joy I feel when I succeed,
To give me the encouragement I need,
To be my wings, not my protective shell.

I love you, and I want you to be mine,
But I would never say you’re not allowed
To be a person who would make me proud,
To step outside into your own sunshine.
I alway’s want you on my side. The day we marry.
I Love you Robert Blakely

HOILDAY Temptation!!!!

October 17, 2009
Every year we face a similar dilemma. While we all love to enjoy getting together and celebrating the holidays with friends and family come January we face the consequences of our actions and often find ourselves finding a few (or sometimes more) extra pounds. Is there any way we can actually reverse this trend and take off a few pounds this year? You bet there is. Here are a few things that will likely produce good results.
The first and probably most important thing is to spend at least 1/2 hour to 45 minutes every day in an activity that demands bodily movement that you enjoy. You will note I don’t call this “exercise” which is often associated with “work”. Just find something you like to do that requires movement. The key is that you need to enjoy the activity to ensure you are consistent.
I’ve found walking and cycling my best choices. When weather does not cooperate you may want to take a trip to a local indoor mall for your walking and do some people watching while you’re at it. This is a great time for doing some holiday shopping as well. You should eat before you go and avoid the food courts.
An average 45 minute brisk walk will burn about 450-500 calories and doing this every day will actually increase your body’s efficiency in burning fat.
In addition to exercise you should know how to deal with holiday eating. The key here is food choice awareness coupled with moderation. As far as food choices feel free to load up on the vegetables (unless heavily buttered) and fruits. Be conservative with the nuts and meatsand ultra conservative with the refined starches (ricepotatoeschips. Etc). Stay away from sweets and alcohol. Sweets are high in calories and just one or two can reverse the efforts in your 45 minute daily fun activity. Alcohol not only provides empty caloriesit dulls your judgment when making your other food choices.
Another technique in holiday eating is to either use smaller plates (if you are serving) or only fill your plate half way (if you are being served) when sitting down to your holiday meal. For drinking try to stick with water  Most people do not drink enough water which is essential in maintaining optimal health. If you must have alcohola light wine should be your choice but if you do this you should probably skip desert completely.
But what if I blow it you say? I ate too much and so I’m beyond repair. Don’t worry. Just double your activity for the next two days and you will be fine. Understand that nobody’s perfect get over the guilt and move on. If the activity is something you really enjoy you should have no problem in doing it longer. If notthen you need to pick something else. Planning a family activity such as skating or skiing could also provide for a good family experience and the additional calorie burn you need.
Finallya principle I often use is to avoid eating paste 7:00pm every day. The earlier in the day you eatthe better it is for obtaining or maintaining your ideal weight. There are also some effective supplements that can help obtain your health goal showever it is always important to augment any supplement regime with good old fashioned fun physical activity. Do it with someone you enjoy to be with and it is even better.

For The Man In My Life!!!!!!!!!!!

September 29, 2009

Things get in our  way and we have to work them out…and there are things we can’t  control, that is why i am doing this blog today…

I have been writing poems for years and here’s a few new one’s for you…

I Asked God I asked God for a flower,
he gave me a bouquet
I asked God for a minute,
he gave me a day
I asked God for true love,
he gave me that too
I asked for an angel and he gave me you.

When I look at you

I see a heart filled

With love that is

bursting to be free

I’m so glad that you

Have come into my life

You give your love to me.

As time passes our love

Grow stronger and stronger

I can no longer see me

Without you in my life

You are my dream come true.

My love abounds through the distant stars

With you by my side we will soar

Touching new worlds of wonder

Endlessly exploring

Forever loving

Hearts intertwined

Sharing fate

True love

Lives

With all My Love….

I never thought I’d fall in love with you.
I thought someday, of course, I’d fall in love.
But what it felt like, I just never knew;
I’d no idea what I was thinking of.
And then, somewhere between my need and pleasure,
Walking neither overjoyed nor sad,
I looked into my heart and saw a treasure
Worth more than anything I’d ever had.
Ah! This is love! I thought. And then I wanted
To give my life to see your happiness.
Suddenly, from nowhere, I was haunted,
Needy, joyful, tearful, glad, obsessed.
My love for you has brought me out of me.
The beauty in your heart has set me free.

I ADDED THIS!!!!

August 28, 2009

1. Portion control! There is no reason to pile food on your plate! Just take a reasonable amount, and you should be good! Overeating has always been a huge problem!

2. Eat slowly. I know when you are really hungry that can be hard, but if you take time and chew everything slowly, you are less likely to overeat. How crazy is that? Just slow down, and enjoy the food.

3. If you don’t like the food, don’t eat it. I know that sounds silly, but we tend to just eat whatever is in front of us, whenever it is there. But if you only eat what you really like, that will also cut down on your food intake.

4. Don’t park close to the store. I know everyone wants the “prime” parking places, but it won’t kill you to walk the extra few hundred feet from the car to the store.

5. Switch it up! Don’t eat the same thing every week. Variety is the spice of life, and trying new things is good for your digestion as well!

6. Eat as much fresh food as possible. I know its tough sometimes, but be sure you aren’t always eating packaged food. They tend to have much higher amounts of sodium and other bad things for you.

You’ve been here..

August 22, 2009

I really can’t explain
What you’ve done for me
You’ve taken all I have
And shown me what could be

You’ve been there through my sorrow
And tried to find a smile
You’ve stood there by my side
You’ve walked that extra mile

You’ve been the one to hold me
When everything seemed wrong
You’ve offered to be the one
Ive wanted for so long

You’ve found out who I really am
When no one else could see
You’ve made me into so much more
Than I ever thought I’d be

You’ve been the one to be there
If ever I need a friend
You’ve been the one to love me
Now, I’ll love you til the end

I really can’t explain
What you’ve done for me
But every night I’ll thank God for you
You mean the world to me

Are you using social networks to build your reputation on-line?

July 14, 2009

Are you using social networks to build your reputation on-line? Whether you already are or you are just getting started with sites like Twitter, Face book, and Ning, building your on-line reputation is your biggest responsibility.

Here are five ways to make sure you do it right.

#1: Be Proud Of Being You

The first thing is, you have to be yourself. You have to be who you are. Because although you can get away with being fake for a little while, as soon as one person realizes that you’re not who you say you are, your reputation is destroyed almost instantly because of the power of social networking.

So be yourself. And don’t be afraid of being yourself. Realize that you have some gifts and some knowledge that people need to know about, and those that want to learn from you are going to gravitate towards you. Those that don’t think you’re worth listening to are basically going to ignore you. And it’s at their peril, so don’t worry about them.

#2: Transparency – Never Hide From Your Audience

The second thing about your reputation is you should try to be transparent at all times. This means you keep everything real with your audience.

They didn’t think that they had some surprise or whatever like most people teach; they just were excited to be part of it and part of the story. So be transparent. Let people know what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, and they’re going to learn how to trust you.

#3: Be Positive For Positive Results

The third way to build your reputation is to be positive.

There are folks out there who generally can do a good job of being negative. I don’t know about you, but I don’t find that to be a very long-term profitable strategy.

It may get you some attention at first and spark some controversy, but that’s not the way to go. Be looking forward to the optimistic of your industry, of your business and what the results are going to be.

It would be easy for you to go onto Twitter or onto Face book and talk about how you’re having a bad day or this product sucks or this week sucks or this relationship sucks. But you’re not really there for a support network, per se.

You’ll find some of that. If you have something bad happen in your life, sharing it with your followers will be very therapeutic for you and you will get a lot of support back. But when you’re just blasting negative things out, you’re going to get negative things in return, usually.

So try to be positive as much as possible and look for the opportunities that are out there and look at them from that positivie perspectivie.

#4: Build Your Reputation And They Will Come

The fourth thing you must do is to be patient. This is because, initially, your reputation is going to be built only by yourself and the first initial people who get to know you. But as time goes on and you get more followers and you build a larger network of friends and peers, your reputation will solidify to allow your business to grow.

Once it hits a tipping point, your reputation and business accelerates at a very quick pace.

So be patient and let it happen. Don’t try this stuff out for a week and then come back to me next week and say, “Well, it didn’t really work. I didn’t really get any results yet.” You’ve got to let social networking play out over a few weeks and then a couple months and so on. A year from now your business is going to be tremendously different compared to where it is right now.

#5: Contribute To The Conversation – Every Day!

The fifth thing about your reputation is you need to be someone that people look to as a contributor, not as a leech, not as a mooch, as a contributor.

You have to be willing to be involved in the conversation, and you have to be willing to give as much or even more than what you’re going to get in return. The people who do that are growing so fast it makes my head spin.

I feel that I’m a pretty giving person but I see some other folks out there that just keep on giving, giving, giving and they just build up a huge following and that social capital is a real asset to your business. So you need to make sure that you’re contributing as much as possible to the conversation.

Give people your input, your encouragement for them to get better at what they are trying to do.

Any little quick free advice you can give, give it.

Actively Build Your Reputation With Social Networking And Reap The Rewards

You’ve got to be in this for the reason of having fun and really building that relationship. Dollars will come, there’s no doubt about that. But first, connect with people and really help them out. Understand that they’ll become loyal followers of what you do and see you for who you are.

Follow these 5 steps to building your reputation on-line and you’ll not only beat your competition, you’ll have more fun doing it!
